What have been made out of deer hoves/legs? I know the basic coat rack, gun rack. :idea:I was thinking about putting an ice fishing rod (just the fiberglass part) in the end of the leg for an ice fishing rod... Anyone done anything with the legs? Any photo's...

I had a lamp made out the legs from a buck I got a few years back. The hoofs were mostly all white, even up onto the legs. Since that time, I've noticed that all deer feet are different, no two deer are alike. Just like their racks.

This is my basic coat rack (or whatever). I just have the arrow that I used on the legs. This was actually the first deer that I ever shot with a bow. Seeing that it was a doe I wanted something to keep.

I have seen the lamps and they look pretty good.

Bucksrus; Cool lookin' Coat/Bow/Gun rack. Would it support a gun? How are the legs attached to the plaque?
I'm euro mounting my 4 pt skull and need Ideas for the legs.

Thanks! I was happy with it. As I said, just wanted something to have for the first bow kill.

I did not mount it but I just took it off the wall to check it out. There is a bolt secured with a nut on the back of the board that screws into the back of each leg to hold it in place.

To be honest, I don't think I'd hang a gun on them as it does not appear to be very strong. Not saying that it could not be done in a different way to hold more weight though.

We used to have a leg lamp growing up that my uncle made. Kinda wish I had it now.
