Without getting to deep into all the details, this past year has been really difficult for me. I pretty much just about lost everything important to me. My wife, my family, my home... it's a long story. I've heard of things like this happening to other people but never thought it would happen to me. Well I did what most people do when they have no where to turn. I started praying. Now I don't consider myself to be an overly religious man, but I do believe. And as I prayed I found strength. I've been working hard all year. I haven't had much time or money to go hunting and fishing. But my wife has come back to me. My boss is pleased with my work, and we are currently working on finalizing a new mortgage on our home. Yesterday I spent the entire day with my family. I hunted with my son in the morning. Then we ate dinner and went back out for the afternoon. And last night we all sat around the living room snacking on leftovers and watching movies and talking until we all fell asleep in various positions throughout the living room. Words can not describe how thankful I am right now. It makes me feel like everything I've been through was worth it. Although given a choice I don't think I would ever ask to go through it again.
Thankyou God for hearing me and giving me my family back!

Congratulations. Now you know what you have and it's your job to let your family know how much they mean to you. Have a great holiday season.

It is good to hear that things are going well. Without knowing what, based on earlier posts I knew your life was going through rough spell. Since then when I would think of you, as when you would post or during Salmon Season, I would pray that your life would smooth out.

From what I know of you, your a good man, and I hope that your prayers and our prayers for you continue to be answered.:)

That's a great story, congratulations! If we follow what the Lord says, He always comes through.

Matthew 6:33, But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Erik thats great to hear. I know you've had some troubles lately, and fortunately God has worked things for you. Pretty cool huh? Sometimes we look at things and we can't see the answer, but believe there is an answer, and sometimes it surprises us. Great post

Thank you Lord for working in Erik's life.

Erik - If you're not already, get plugged into a good church were you and your family can continue to heal & grow. I can suggest a few good ones if interested.

Great news Erik, and thank you for sharing. Many people would turn to drugs and alcohol to kill the pain, and ultimately themselves.

Prayer is not a cure or fix all, and our prayers do not always get answered. I will say that prayer has worked miracles in my life, and in the believers I know lives. I see and hear it every day.

Have a thankful heart, and count your blessings every day.

Erik-thats great news...I remember we exchanged some thoughts quite a few months ago. At the time I was experiencing alot of adversity in life as well. I am lucky that I have been blessed with a wonderful family, and an abundance of friends.

I am glad things are working out for you. One of my aunts has always had a philosophy of living in "faith not fear", that has been my motto for the last 23 months...I have done pretty well most of the time but have also faltered along the way. I have 12 more months before I will really feel in control of my life.

I wish you the best and hope to hear alot more about the positive things going on in your life.
