Today I lost my best friend, my mate ,my wife

My wife of thirty three years passed on this morning at 2:30. I lost my best friend. Carrie stuck by me though more trouble and hard times then I care to remember. She was responsible for allowing me to mature into who I am today.

This will be my last post for awhile as what do I have to post about anymore. I appoligize for my ranting at times. Please remember to cherish what you have , who travels the road with you, the blessing to be born an american.

I met Eddie and Carrie this past spring at an outing, and shortly after meeting them both, considered them as friends, people I could trust and care about.

I will not go into detail, but Carrie has struggled most her life and that struggle ended early this morning. I know from the short time I have known them both, they are honest, decent people who care about others and cared a lot about each other. Being around them and listening to them go back and forth, you saw a long and devoted love, yet it was as though you were listening to a fresh young couple the way they nurtured each other. A blind man in the room with them would probably comment that they were a couple of silly kids in love.

Eddie, I am sorry for your loss. Carrie was a wonderful lady and I know that I am honored to have had the opportunity to get to know her. My ehart goes out to you and Craig during this challenging time.

My sincerest condolences Eddie. My father lost his wife of 20 years a few months ago (my stepmother) Watching my father deal with this has not been an easy thing to stomach. I wish I had some words of wisdom that could ease your pain but the honest truth is that nothing I or anybody else can say can make it right. You got people here on this site that are in your corner and will be there for support when the time comes......and that time will come. Ain't no shame in reaching out when your ready. Eddie, I have tried to find some words that would help for several days now. I should be well-equipped to help, as I lost my wife over two years ago, & I have searched my mind to think of what I could share. Each time I start to type something, such a rush of emotion overcomes me, that I have to cancel my reply. Greiving comes in various stages, for sure, and you may still be in shock, such stress you must be experiencing. It's like losing half of your very being.
But you will find what you are made of as you dig down real deep within yourself and find a way to go on, and you will find a way, my friend, you must. You will do it in your own way, everyone is differant. If you're beating yourself up about things you shoulda/woulda/coulda done differantly, stop it, you will work through that too, let it be. I hope that some comfort finds you soon that can ease your anguish.
