Went out sat and sun, fished for about 4 hours per day, caught between 40 and 50 bass all keepers in 2 days.
The biggest fish was 5.6 and had a few 4lbs mixed in there as well,
Ilave this time of year the only truck at the ramp was mine and not a sole on the water.
If the weather stays like this is will be fishing on new years day!
Hope it hold out for a couple more weeks, I am having a blast catching fish this way I have cought them on this bait before but not like they have been eating it for the last 2 trips out, I need to get some more but I don't think anyone in town has them, thank god for the internent I can have them by friday!

Understood if you want to hide this "secret lure" but at least let us know what type of presentation this is so it can be discussed

What a useless thread. All it says is that he caught some fish. No mention of what lake it was, water depth, water temp, lure used or presentation. Any one of the mentioned could have been helpful. Why would one even take the time to write a thread like this?

My only comment: 40-50 fish. All keepers. The odds say different. Not possible, or at least very difficlut.

cold weather bassin (http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/forum/showthread.php?t=206986)
sure its possible, i started the above thread a couple weeks ago, me and my kid caught around 40 bass in a few hours and they would have all been keepers. i will say i can't remember a day when every fish was over the legal length, the bigger fish were very active. i guess you gotta be there.

Now you know why we post pics of our excursions. Much more believable with a few pics. I know Jason catches a lot of big fish... I have no doubt that he does. But like most people on this site, I love to see pics of big fish!!

Sorry I did not post pics but it is hard to take pics when you are bye yourself.
As for not believing that anyone could catch that many keepers and no shorts, well it is probly the way that I attack fishing I look at it like a home run hitter I swing for the fence every time I go out. I would rather spent a whole day fishing for 1 5 or 6 lb fish rather than fishing for 20 keepers.
I have been fishing for 20 years I have caught enough keeper bass, But BIG fish are like Dollars you can’t have enough of them.
As far as what I was doing I am sorry that I did not post that I figured no one wanted to hear about it after the beating I took on my post about the senko and drop shot ( fairy wand ) post.
I was using a Castaic swim bait in the blue shad color with the fast rate of fall. I was targeting the green weeds in 4 to 5 foot of water on flats with some sand spots around.
You can’t get the swim baits anywhere local you have to go to Swim bait nations web site. It is the best web site I have found for swim bait info.
The book Big Bass Zone is a great book to if you are looking for some winter reading, spro has video out call BBZ 1 it is alright I would not spend the $20 unless you are going to give the big swim bait’s a try.
If you want to see some of the pics of big fish that I have caught you can go to http://www.myspace.com/jasonammermanfishing (http://www.myspace.com/jasonammermanfishing) . I will be posting more pics soon.

Hey, thanks for posting up Jason. I just can' seem to get myself to throw big swimbaits. Maybe I'll have to give them more time in the water. What kind of rod set up are you throwing them on??

I found that the H & H flippin Stick in the HX3 model is about the best for what I do I can use swimbaits from 1/2oz to 6 oz, They do have a Swim Bait rod coming out in the spring that they are going to send me to try, I hape it dose what I want it to do, from what Josh said It is going to be made for the guys fishing for 3 to 8 lb fish not for the 12 to 20lbser that they get out in California.
I used a Shimano Core reel with 50 or 65 lb power pro.

Because as stingy and self centered it sounds he wants to protect his fishing spot from the hordes of people that lurk this site gold digging fishing information but... He could have at least in vague way said some place near he was fishing and described some helpful hints on how to catchy bass this time of year which doesnt hurt anything.

Well I for one and not looking for lake names. I have no problem finding lakes with fish. Techniques and baits on the other hand... :D

Don't worry you don't fish the Tournaments I do.
But if you want to give the BBT, or Shoreline tournaments a try let me know and I will get you the info.
As far as the smaller suff on the inland lakes, I just fish those for fun I normally don't pull out the swimbait on those lakes. Not enough money to win when the pike are eating swim baits @ $20.00 a pop.

Yeah, those pike are the same reason I don't invest in anything from Lucky Craft!!
As for the bigger tournaments... just not in my plan yet. Thanks for the offer though. I'm sure we'll see each other at a Hawghunters event or two.

I know a few of the guy did not like the way things went this year and they are going to do there own thing, they are talking about doing 8 hour tournaments and fishing some bigger water, and having a year end classic.
I hope they do it can get old fishing the same little bodys of water all the time, and if there are 12 to 15 boats you start to run into each other by the end of the day.
They are going to have a meating in january or febuary to put dates and lakes together.
