View Full Version : Some serious prayers please.
Well, today starts my vacation for deer season. Two weeks off. Paid.
Right before I leave, I get called into my supervisors office. The supervisor informs me that while I am gone, there is going to be an investigation on me on "conduct". Resulting in termination, if the investigation finds anything.
I nearly fell to the floor. Nothing like this has ever happened to me.
I asked if i am being accused of anything and I was told that there are no accusations and all they can tell me is that "conduct" is being investigated.
I can loose my job.
I'm scared to death. Bills, my wife's MS and meds, the house, vehicles....etc.....
And the economy sucks here in Mich and I'm scared about finding a job that pays as much or better than what i make now. Plus having the medical insurance for my wife...
So, please...please...please...say some prayers for me and my wife. I don't know what is gonna happen. Maybe a new door opens, i dunno.
so please any prayers are greatly appreciated.
Sorry, I'm in tears right now as i type this....i have no idea what to do......
Thanks for listening.

Yeah I think your boss is a tool. Try to enjoy your time off, but I know it'll be hard. Job's a job, just concentrate on your wife and a good luck. I also think the timing is fishy, especially since you're not be told what you're being "investigated" for. You might want to look into you rights as a worker with a lawyer.

Sounds alittle "Fishy" to me. No accusations, but there checking into your conduct???? Strange, very strange.
Unless you've got something to feel guilty about, than dont worry about it.
Prayer sent.

Conduct but no complaints? I'd find the number to MESC and have it ready when you return.
Then again, if you don't feel you've done anything that should compromise your job you should have nothing to worry about. I just went thru a very similar thing at my job. Went back to work after a 3 day off without pay reprimand for something I didn't do. There was no fighting it though... once my supervisor (an undeducated beotch with a chip on her shoulder) and HR made up there minds I was screwed. I'm back to work though... and I dont' work for her anymore.

don't want to start a whole arguement but are you union? the only reason I ask and not to say all union employers are this way!!!!, a friend of mine had almost the same thing happen to him, the fishy part was they had not wanted him to take as much time as he did when he did, so the boss drummed up the whole investigation thing with the union and my friend cut his vacation short because of it, remarkably they dropped the investigation a couple days after he got back. He could have been in the middle of a big coincidence, but he thinks it was a deliberate ploy to manipulate him into coming back early

Don't they have to tell you why you're being "investigated"?? Maybe you should call your boss and tell him you don't feel comfortable "taking vacation" at this time,,, in case they have any questions regarding the investigation and that you'd like to be present if they do.
BTW,,, what did you do to cause the investigation?? jk
No, no union.
I agree Bonney, I thought they had to inform you on what you are being investigated on.
So does anyone know of a lawyer that specializes in Labor/Employment?
Far as going back to work during this, can't.
During the investigation, you can not work. Well, since I'm taking my vacation....they don't have to give me "leave w/pay".
Nice eh?
Plus, the vacation has already been submitted and approved.

I learned a while back, never tell anybody about your vacation unless you HAVE to. Even then, wait until the last possible minute without getting in trouble.
I put in for Deer Camp in February, and once it's approved I am

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy; meditate on these things

Prayers.
Good luck.
I don't know how you're supposed to enjoy your vacation with this looming over your head. BUT, if you didn't do anything wrong, then you have nothing to worry about.

Could he have just been joking around? Sounds like the kind of joke I would pull on someone.
If not don't worry about, God will take care of you no matter what happens.
God bless.
