Those rankings are absolutely meaningless--unless a person is a displaced Dungeons and Dragons dork that found a new home in a Fantasy Football league.
THe only thing that matters is wins and losses. The number of significance is 6-2.

Again... all that is just for the book makers in Vegas.

Man, I freakin' loathe the gambling side of sports. What ever happened to loving a sport and simply rooting for a fave team because you wanted them to win more than they lost?
More so, I can't stand those radio sports talk shows like JT the Prick on late nights. Let's bring in a bookie and talk about "locks" all night, then cut to a commercial for Vegas. F that.

I'm cautiously optimistic, having seen too many past Lions teams take a dive while riding the high tide of prosperity.

In most statistical categories, The Cards and Lions are pretty even.
Except one, turnover ratio.
Arizona is at -9, the NFC's worst. Detroit is +8, the NFC's best.
Should be a good game.
I just got tickets to the game against the Giants. If the Lions come into that game 7-2...and then win against the G-men...i will soak myself in kerosene and light myself on fire...i need to feel that pain i am accustomed to being a Lions fan. Either that or i will drink 10 beers in the stadium....then count how much money i spent while there..i havent decided yet. I agree..those rankings are garbage.

I agree those rankings are garbage, but isn't it outstanding just to see the Lions in the top 6 of a rankings system that chooses which teams might be GOOD rather than awful!?
BTW- said it here first.....Lions are going to the Super Bowl. When that happens I will change my signature. Only then.

Lions will lose the NFC championship game to Dallas, who in turn will lose the Super Bowl to New England. At least that's what my crystal ball is telling me.

Lions still make the play offs.
Games like this happen when you are rebuilding.
I think Kitna has to be a bit pissed and I see them rallying next week at home.

Rebuilding? Rebuilding? Lets see... The loins have been rebuilding 44 out of the last 50 years. They should have been rebuilding in 2006 and 2005 and 2004 and 2003 and 2002 and 2001 and.......
Question is: How long do you call it rebuilding before you call it a crappy team?

MEL,,, that's how brainwashed loins fans are. They just don't understand it and REFUSE to believe it. The funny part is,, with the remaining schedules of playoff contending teams right now,, the loins are gonna have a hard time making it. And you know what? Loins fans WILL LOVE IT!!!!! Realistically they could go 8-8 and make the playoffs and somehow loins fans think that's a good team. "It's better than last year",,,, "It's a step in the right direction",, " Not bad for a team rebuilding",, "8 wins this year,, we'll be in the NFC Championship game next year" ,,, "This team is different",,,,blah, blah, blah, blah, blah..
Personally,,, I like Kitna,, just because of the way he plays(he plays hard). The down-side is,,, he's just not that good. He does "ok" in every system he's been in.
Glad I never got fully on the bandwagon. This team has beaten not one good team. They have the chance to prove me wrong, the second half. The team that played the Cardinals last Sunday will not win another game this year.
