Well fellow sportsmen/women the time finally came today my 14 yr old English Setter went to the big bird country in the sky.. As none of you knew he was sick for almost 2 yrs with abdominal tumors (cancer) the big fella gave it one heck of a shot to fight this off but that crap won, we had alot of great hunting times in the field together and he has the best dog i ever owned, he went everywhere with me and was literally my best friend till the end.. I think thats enough i cant take myself to write anymore.... Boy i sure will miss you buddy, until we meet again pal.....But you will not be forgotten, to me you were the best!!!!!!
RIP Buck.....
I'll miss you buddy!

I had a shorthair named buck I had to put down a couple of years ago. He had the same tumors as your dog. It sucks, but time heals, and now I have an even bigger numbskull to go bird hunting with! I hope you can find another buddy like I did, I know its not the same as having him there, but it fills that void, and kinda makes you appreciate the time you have with them.
Take care,
Jorden
Loosing a long time friend is a kin to loosing a member of the family - the pain is real and the grieving hurts -
May your memories of him live with you forever -

Sorry to hear that new RS. I hope that your pain doesn't last a long time.
Our dogs lives are much too short!
Sounds live you will have a lifetime of memories from those 14 yrs.

The only time in 23 years I've seen my dad break down was the day we put our golden down 2 years ago. Losing her was quite a tough one to swallow, and 2 years later, my dad still refuses to get another pup to replace her, because no dog could ever live up to Maddie in his eyes.
Sorry to hear about your loss, try to keep your head up ;)

Putting a dog down when it is time is the hardest responsibility we have to them. I am sure your Dog had a great life and when it time I hope that you will give another Dog as good a life.:)
