Fished the sand docks from 9:30a to 1p, got 22 @ 8 +, and probably 100 throw backs. Fishing was steady. Bigger perch came with single hook and large chuck of perch right ON the bottom. I took a few of the small perch, cut the tail off then about 3/4" up from there. Long stips of belly meat also worked good. Smaller fish were hitting on everything - minnow, wigglers, waxies and shrimp. I took 4 frozen shimp out there - they work well, but didn't stay on the hook as well as the cut bait. I was in a straight line with the south channel wall about 150 yards into the lake, moved a bit south when a freighter came throught, but it didn't slow the bite. There were 3 other boats out there, they seemed to be doing well also. Great fall day on the lake!
