I sat in stand last night in the Lapeer area and saw 2 young bucks, a spike and a real nice 1.5 year old 6 point grunting and chasing does all over last night. I used the can estrous bleat and called them both right under my stand but had no intentions of shooting them. Then right as I was climbing down I could hear a 3rd buck chasing does around the woods grunting. It was a great hunt!! Well I better go, heading up to the Hillman area where a friend and I have 6 tecomate food plots that have not been hunted at all yet. Due to work issues we have not been able to make the trip to the 240 acres we have been managing. Last year I passed up 7 bucks that were 1.5 & 2.5 years old so I am excited about shooting a big boy!! We know we have at least 2 bruisers. Last year we took an 8 point that dressed out at 188 lbs and had 4.5" bases. I am hoping that this year and next we will start seeing alot more mature bucks. The neighbor is doing the same and has has 300 acres. I will report in when I get back
