during this time of year, what methods work to catch bluegill?...The lake i'm fishing is very weedy ,clear clean water, 30 feet at deepest.. bowl shaped no real dropoff ...

I'm not sure about your lake NF, but I find them right now where i find them in the spring. North side of lake in shallow bays or cuts.
Waxworms and clipon bobber usually gets the job done, but when
they are on the bite a pinky on its own will geterdone.
Sunny afternoon usually are the best right now for me.

yaeh i was wondering the same thing. i cant seem to get anything to bite right now. i will pick up some wax worms for the weekend to try out.

I use 1/3 to 1/2 of a night crawler. Fishing about three feet in about five feet of water. When I can I start fishing after five in the afternoon. I have been getting 10 to 20 each time I go out.

for the last two weeks i'v been fishing in 10 to 13 feet and 2 foot off bottomwith a # 6 gold abberdean hook with panfish worms. i have been just killin the gills took 23 home today with 18 over 9" and 3" over 10" good luck.
