Hey all-
The Dowagiac has some good numbers of steel in it right now. I talked to some locals and they claim they have been getting 3-4, even 5-6 fish a float down the river. Thats amazing if you ask me. Usually this time of year is slow to good at best. I only had a couple of hours to fish so I only hit the first few holes hard. I did manage one hook up but the fish over powered me and drove me into a log jam breaking me off. The water temp. was 46 degrees as of yesterday and probably still dropping due to the snowfall over here. All in all a good trip and hopefully with this precip. more fish will be in the Joe by the end of the week.
