If you go to the DNR web site, you can download just about any state land map you want. All of the state game areas are listed by county.

Neighbors want hunters far from homes

Currently, hunters can hunt in the neighborhood as long as they have property owners' permission and don't shoot within 150 yards of an occupied building. But petitioners want that safety zone extended to 150 yards from a property line.

Peggy Ruby, a DNR conservation officer who will conduct the hearing over the limits, said the department can close hunting in an area only if there are safety issues. No hunting accidents have been reported in the area, Green said.

This is another example of sportsmen(used loosely)shooting themselves in the foot. It is obvious that the hunters walking by the lady's window did not have permission to be there. They will no doubt be the first ones to cry if and when there is indeed a hearing to move the safety zone.

So she should be pushing to have them prosecuted for tresspassing, not trying to stop legal hunters. Banning hunting in the area will not stop the folks who are already violating the law.

My point is, they are not legal hunters if they do not have permission. So therefore they are screwing things up for the rest of the legal hunters. Get it? It's idiots like this who are the cause of the push to have hunting banned in certain areas where it is and has been legal to hunt. Then they wonder why they lose their privilege.
