I just joined the forum. I would appreciate any help from anyone.
I would like to find a place to hunt Ruffed Grouse. I am also curious if there any wild or ferel hogs in Michigan? And are the squirrels there the eastern gray. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

In MI you'll find most of the grouse in the Northern LP. Yes, there are some feral hogs in MI and the DNR has been attempting to get them all killed as are many hunters.

We had some a year ago but apparently all are gone now. I do know there are some along Ransom Road in the Gratiot-Saginaw State Game Area and also more up around Midland and Houghton Lake areas. There are more but I'm not sure how the populations of the hogs are. I think not too high but we do need them killed ASAP.

We have fox, gray and red squirrels.

There is getting to be a good amount of hogs in Brown city. That is east of Lapeer. Talk to some farmers they may let you hunt.
