View Full Version : st joe and trib
Went to the St Joe sunday morning, a whole lot of people and boats. Guess they were having a contest. decided to head over to an unnamed trib of the joe and found quite a few people there also, although it was at least fishable. Trib was 58 degres and very cloudy. Fished there awhile had some success with browns and steelies. Went back to the Joe later in the day after most of the boats cleared out, probably for weigh in. Water very cloudy, and still fairly warm at 67. Fishing was fair with a few steelies and salmon. was surprised to see the river so low even after the rain on sat.

Erik-
You are right the water levels @ BS on the Joe. It rain alot in the last few days and then sunday the water was so low I couldn't believe it! It was lower than all summer! Not too many fish down there also. But the main push of fish is still to come. I can't wait for the fish in my favorite trib. on the Joe. I think you know which one that is. Anyways see ya on the river.

I'm heading out tonight on the Joe. Near a fav. trib mouth. I'll let you know how I did. By the way, how low is the river? I was in a spot a few weeks ago that was only 3ft. where it is normally 6-7ft. Hope I don't loose a prop or worse yet a lower unit! Good luck.
