It was 68 degrees on top 2 weeks ago. I would guess 60-62 now. Long ways from turning over I'd bet. Hopefully by Thanksgiving.

Fremont was that warm to but it dropped like a rock and was in the mid fifties a week ago.

Crockery Lake (half way to Muskegon from GR) was 60-61 on Saturday. Deepest hole in this lake, which is about the same color as Muskegon, is about 55 feet.

Huh. Radar isn't showing anything north of about Kazoo at the moment. Then again... you are in Hespertucky... strange things happen in Hespertucky. I have a feeling my rain gear is going to get a workout at the tournament on Kent Lake tomorrow.

Took a little boat ride Friday am as well but on Fremont. Thought the fish would be deeper than they were. Almost zilch marked over 10 feet. They were in the weeds in 10 feet or less of water. After jigging for nada threw on a thunderstick and caught some nice northerns.
Water temps 51-53.

49.5 to 50.7 yesterday afternoon til dark, Black buoy towards the river, north side. Almost took a buoy on the nose off Bear Lake channel as it passed about 6 feet off the port side. Uncle said they are made of styrofoam..asked if he wanted to go back and find out...nadda. Unlit buoy, racing one I think. Need to put that pedestal under my seat again I guess. Anyone know when they pull those things?

Thanks for the update Fin , if it's the ones I'm thinking of they are NOT styrofoam and I've been told by a good buddy they make a pretty good "KLANGG!!!" when you whack one at speed!
:yikes: :yikes:
Some are marked on the GPS maps , but there's absolutely NO substitute for knowing the lake well yourself.

Yeah, I know that! I probably have it on my lil gps handheld, but i had that on the floor and the eyes were waterin' too bad to see it anyways. The bow mount blocks alot up there and I need to sit higher, up the the wind. They still should be lit, or glow paint ( I could do that)

Went to White Lake yesterday. Surface temp 47 degrees. I think I always gotta keep in mind if wind forecast says 5-15 then its likely 15 on the lakeshore. That channnel is not very well lit. As soon as I hit the channel water was rolling through the channel from West winds. Didnt stay in the channnel to long.

I lost one on a clown rogue and if I was smart I would have been circling the mouth of the channel. But its a bit weird on White because the channel entrance is on an angle and to far north and its 2 foot deep.
