Has anyone ever fly fished Mio Pond for pike or bass. Access at Camp Ten Road looks good, and there appears to be a lot of stumps etc to cast a streamer or popper around. Also, has anyone ever tried the hex up that way, or do you need to trvel further up river?

fishing hex is possible large amount of bugs but you need a boat and motor. If you fish the hex its best to start at the whirlpool on cherry creek rd and go down to camp 10. Also is best to scout it out during the day before the hex.

We fished from a canoe nearer the dam on the North side. Caught several smallies, nothing of any size but on a 4 wt great fun. Had best success on weighted olive woolyboogers.
Has anybody caught Walleyes in the pond and are they worth chasing while waiting for the evening hatch downstream?
