Honestly before the season started, what did you think the Lions record was going to be after 6 games?

I like the way you think Joe. Lions fan stuck in Colorado. :(

I have set my sights on 5 wins. An improved team, with good weapons. If they win more than that, they have surprised me. A nice change from being dissappointed.

Considering the Lions past performance of putting a squad together, their choice of cheerleaders would probably be senior citizens, 70 or older, no others need apply. But then again they would more than likely do a better job then the Lions.

Well guys, after a spell of the severe runs that left me dehydrated and dizzy, I passed out, fell off the toilet and hit my head on the side of the tub. When I finally woke up, I was in such a daze that I went to my computer and posted the following on April 30th, 2007:
You may tell me to put down the crack pipe or get myself admitted for therapy, but here's how I see things playing out:
Sunday, September 9 at Oakland Raiders McAfee Coliseum 4:15 p.m.
This is a Lion victory. I don't care if they're playing in Guam, there's no way the Raiders should win this game with a rookie QB starting his first game. The Raiders simply should not be able to match up with the Lions in this game.
Record: 1-0
Sunday, September 16 MINNESOTA VIKINGS Ford Field 4:05 p.m.
Victory # 2. Brad Johnson is gone and it's a Lions home game against a almost rookie QB that has serious question marks. If the Lions control the run, they win this game.
Record: 2-0
Sunday, September 23 at Philadelphia Eagles Lincoln Financial Field 1:00 p.m.
Not yet, not this year. Record, 2-1
Sunday, September 30 CHICAGO BEARS Ford Field 1:00 p.m.
You heard it hear first, the Lions win this game. The Bears will not be the same team they were last year--not even close. Record: 3-1
Sunday, October 7 at Washington Redskins FedEx Field 1:00 p.m.
Gibbs should've stayed retired, because they have not done anything of importance to improve last years dismal team. Record: 4-1
Sunday, October 14 *** BYE WEEK ***
Sunday, October 21 TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS Ford Field 1:00 p.m.
This is going to come down to a good defense versus a Martz offense that's keeping people on their heels. Tampa with Chris Simms at QB, does not have the firepower to stop the Lions. Record: 5-1.
Sunday, October 28 at Chicago Bears Soldier Field 1:00 p.m.
Not good. Defense wins this game...for the Bears. Record: 5-2
Sunday, November 4 DENVER BRONCOS Ford Field 1:00 p.m.
Tough one. I hate the Broncos with a passion, enough said. Lions win. Record: 6-2.
Sunday, November 11 at Arizona Cardinals University of Phoenix Stadium 4:15 p.m.*
I don't care if Vince Lombardi comes back to coach the Cardinals, it's the cardinals. However, the Lions defense is over-matched in this game.
Record: 6-3.
Sunday, November 18 NEW YORK GIANTS Ford Field 4:15 p.m.*
Tom Coughlin under fire, Eli who??? Record: 7-3
Thursday, November 22 GREEN BAY PACKERS Ford Field 12:30 p.m.
After the Packers draft and free agency period, Brett Favre is going, "what the *&^% was I thinking by coming back???"
Record: 8-3
Sunday, December 2 at Minnesota Vikings The Metrodome 1:00 p.m.*
The Lions held their own in Minnesota last year, but they fall short again this year.
Record: 8-4
Sunday, December 9 DALLAS COWBOYS Ford Field 1:00 p.m.*
Man, this is a toss up. I'll go with the Cowboys here.
Record: 8-5
Sunday, December 16 at San Diego Chargers Qualcomm Stadium 4:15 p.m.*
The Sleestak (Norv "Pox Face" Turner) can't coach, period. The Lions win this one in a shocker...well, a shocker to everyone except me.
Record: 9-5
Sunday, December 23 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS Ford Field 1:00 p.m.*
The Chiefs have an offense with an aging, battered QB and they've lost several key players on that side of the ball. Their defense is suspect and the Lions roll in this one.
Record: 10-5
Sunday, December 30 at Green Bay Packers Lambeau FIeld 1:00 p.m.*
Vaya Condeyo's Brett Favre! Green Bay playing out the last four quarters of a disasterous season are no match for a Lions team that's full of confidence going into the playoffs. Lions win in a rout.
Final Record: 11-5

I had the Lions at 3-3 at this point. I have them at 6-10 for the season. My 6-10 prediction is now in jeopardy.:) I am sticking to it. However it appears they could win 7 or heaven forbid 8 games. They are headed in the right direction. Remember the curse!

I predicted 5-11 earlier this year.
Anything is possible with the Lions...until it is mathematically impossible I am not revising that theory.
I have been down this road too many times. They will not fool me into believing that they are capable of attaining mediocre status!!!

I am still sticking with my 5-11.....though they will probably win 6 just to discredit me.
Nice game today.

Don't worry...there's still plenty of time for them to screw this season up.

When Kitna predicted the Lions would win 10 times this year, I thought he was referring to the British Columbia Lions in the CFL.
I figured they'd probably win 6 games this season.
We'll see what happens the next couple weeks. If they manage to get past 3-3 Denver and 3-4 Arizona (which seems plausible at this point) and go to 7-2, then I guess we'll have no choice but to discuss the chances of playoffs :yikes:

I hate to say this but I think Kitna was right. 10 - 6 they beat Green Bay on Thanksgiving but not in Green Bay.
