This weekend was action packed for me.
Left East Lansing at 4 and got to the Big Man. at around 7:30. Caught one fresh male salmon and headed to houghton lake. Woke up at 6 and realized it was shorts and a t-shirt weather but had to give duck hunting a try anyway. Didn't see one bird flying so we packed it up after 45 min. or so. Went back to the stream and caught two more salmon. Today went grouse hunting before heading home and ended up with two pat and three woodcock. This was by far my best day grouse hunting ever, we flushed at least 25 birds (pat/woodcock) If only it were colder and there were ducks flying it would've been a perfect weekend.
