Good Day,

Well - seeing as this is an El Nini yaer it is predicted that we will very likely have a "warmer" winter. Sorry ice fishermen... I kind of like this news as I have noticed that following El Nina winters the trout survive better and are a bit bigger. Anyway - from Joe Bastardi at Accu Weather:

The upcoming Michigan winter is predicted to be warmer than usual, with normal amounts of snow and ice, according to the Accuweather.com winter forecast report released Thursday. Expect a sharp contrast to last winter, which was warmer than average but had a brutal six-week stretch of below-normal temperatures between January and February, said Joe Bastardi, chief hurricane and long range forecaster at the State College, Pa.-based private online weather service.
Instead, Michigan residents will experience a winter reminiscent of 1998-99, when temperatures were 2-3 degrees above normal and there was a near normal snowfall of 32 inches. Temperatures will hover above 27.1 degrees, which is the average normal temperature in Michigan between December and February.
“It will be winter that people can sink their teeth into,” Bastardi said. “It’s not like there is going to be no winter at all. But when we total it up we anticipate a much milder winter.”

I am getting sick of warm winters. Last years cold spell had around perfect temps. for me. :D Atleast the trout could be bigger.
