Is it legal to use centerfire in shotgun zone

I have heard form some people you can use a centerfire rifle in the shotgun zone for coyote,if this is true what are the rules and regulations.

As long as its not firearm deer season. You can use them on chucks too.

Also you can not use a centerfire at night.

Thanks for the info just make sure I called the Lansing DNR office to double check and the info I got from this post was correct. Some things like this are sometimes hard to determine in the DNR Hunting Rule book.
