Here are some pictures that I took this morning. (sorry for the low quality pics, it was dark).
Here was the location that I set at.

Coming over a hill the coyotes travel in and out of here to the road nearby
Here is a dirt hole

Trap is burried in the dirt pattern in front of the hole. Lured with dobbins all call.
Here is a flat set

Here is a flat set with a piece of sod as a backing. The trap is just to the right of the sod. There is red fox gland lure underneath the clump and fox pee on the sod. Both on the side of the sod with the trap.
Typical for me, two different sets within 12 feet of one another.

That's what I did the other night. One dirt hole and a flat set (20 yards apart), one double dirt hole and flat set (20 yards apart). They were 80- 100 yards apart. Gland lure and call lure at the dirt holes, gland lure (different) and pee at the flat sets.
Last night I did 3 in one spot, a dirt hole, a mound dirt hole and a flat set. All within 20 yards of each other.

I have caught animals in both sets like this but never in one night. Still waiting for my first true coyote double.

If it would rain less than an inch on any given night I might be able to.

The rain does have me worried about the look of my sets, but that is another benefit of multiple sets at a location, hopefully one looks good and connects. I checked at lunch with binos, nothing yet, but there's always tommorow :)
Found some ground that was picked recently, may put out some more steel later in the week.

Oh my goodness, timmy stienhauer, back from the dead??...back from where, hard to say?? A gung ho trapper 2 years ago that fell off the face of the earth with 2 boxes of brand new traps:lol::lol:.
Just kidding, good to see you on here Tim.
The areas that I had banked on producing some coyotes have dryed right up. I havent so much as seen a coyote track. I still plan to keep the traps out for a while and see how they do, they got a touch up this weekend.

I thought you might fall off the chair after seeing me on here again. I had to change my password(I forgot it:confused:). I need to get some traps ready. The coyotes are getting a little crasey out by the Vachon reisedents, shes had a few run through the yard when her two dogs were out side. So I think I need to sharpen up my few trappin skills and try to get a couple.
