Pretty much any area that look's good for deer bedding area's will be a good bet for yote's{thick, swampy area's,standing corn ect...}The more stand's you make in a day,the better your odd's of calling some in.

Coyotes aren't stupid, they don't call them Wily for nothing. You can't walk across a wide open field in broad view the whole way to the edge of the cover and start calling. I suppose you could get lucky and pull one in that didn't see you, but most animals can feel us coming, we walk so heavy compared to them. Most animals bed where they can watch downwind, and that way they can smell any danger coming in from up wind. You have to sneak in, being concerned with cover and the wind the whole time. Gray fox don't seemed to be as concerned with wind as Coyote and Red fox, both of these will almost always try to circle down wind on you before coming in. It may mean not hunting a particular piece of property until you get an East wind. Keep the sun to your advantage as well. Sit in a shady spot, and make the animal look into the sun while trying to find you and your call or caller if your paired up with someone. Snareman is right, the more stands you make, the better your chances, I will say though, I'm in an area that is loaded with fox and yotes, and I still only see an animal about 1 out of every 8 stands. That is after reading a lot of forums and starting to think....If I were a coyote in this area, where would I be right now. Took me 14 stands to see my first one, I almost quit. Don't get discouraged, remember, your hunting the hunter....he's out to win a lot more than you are...you're not going to die (like hopefully he is) if he sees you first! Good luck my friend, once addicted your on the path of no return....Calling one in and nailing it is way more of a rush than deer hunting!
