I think all the ones in my area are mutants and are invisible. Fresh tracks everywhere, but no sightings for the past three weeks. Didn't help that the farmer behind me just spent a week putting in drain tiles in that field.
Anybody know a way to change this nocturnal behavior :dizzy:
Sorry, just my rant for today.......:D

Patience Erik, patience.
If you keep hunting the same stand for three weeks, you won't be seeing many deer. You must rotate.

ohh I know the Oct lull. But it means one thing. THE MOON! Deer are not feeding near sunrise and sunset they are doing it very early in the morn and early in the afternoon. if you dont belive me go hunting about 3:00pm til dark. deer are moving about 3 am til 5:30am and 3 pm til 5 pm. try it and tell me what you think. It will be like this until the heavy chase phase.

Yup, that's why I won't even bother until later on. Up here, the does will move, but not so much with the bucks until at least the 20th. Even then, the bigger ones are really shy due to road pressure.
I have to say though, the buck (kill) photos on here are way down from last year though.
Less hunters?
Waiting for a bigger buck?
Not hunting until at least the pre-rut?
Guys not wanting to post their smaller bucks?
Who knows!
P.S. Just checked a bunch of other State and Provincial forums and they're slow too. Less pictures than we have that's for sure.
