I uploaded this video for a different message thread...in another forum...but figured I'd post it here for the varminteers among us ;)

I spotted a couple of coyotes (breeding pair, probably) trotting along a woodline one morning this spring. I used a crude "lip squeak distress" call to bring them in to within 15-yards.

That must have gotten your heart pumping.

Nice clip and obviously good calling.

Oh, why did you shoot that dog's ear off, what did he ever do to you?:lol:;)

I have squeaked up a few reds while squirrel hunting.

The best was having to stand up to keep from getting attacked by a fox pup that came charging my squeaks from the den I was watching. It ran off but when I squeaked again it came charging back again.

I have also gotten curious deer to come into lip squeaks. Spooky to have a doe at less than 10 feet trying to figure out where the noise is coming from.

Even 'ole one ear' heard that. Approx how far were they when you first noticed them? My real question is -how far will the squeek carry?
