Next year I would like to keep my boat at a marina on lake Erie. I want one of those drop in type places (don’t know the name for them) that you just call ahead and they take your boat out of a pole barn and drop it in the water or on the trailer. I am going to leave it there in the spring until july. In july and august I will be leaving the boat on lake M. Then back to Erie in September – November. Can some one point me in the right direction or give advice as to a nice marina. I would like to be close to Brest Bay south side would be nice, maybe Boles harbor aria?

P.S. what can I expect to pay for somthing like that.

Thanks
Mike

I agree with Bam Bam. I kept mine in Brest Bay a few years. I kept it in the water and loved it, they do have Rack and launch service. It is a nice full service place and secure when the store is closed so is the gate but if you have a boat in there you can get a key for it. They also have cameras at the gate and thruout the marina to keep an eye on things.:)

There's also a drop-in facility in Swan Creek, next to Fermi. I have a buddy who keeps his boat there, and it looks to be a good operation.

RiverFront Marina, on the river raisin, has rack and launch in the summer, I think they charge around $900.00 for the season

I've been keeping LD at Toledo Beach Marina for 4 seasons now. No complaints.

depends on the size of the boat. I keep mine at Stowaway/Damark in Gibraltar. Awsome place, never a complaint. The owner is always there, 12hrs a day 7 days a week.

another place is humbug II. they take bigger boats. say like 33 and above.

great marina

I have had my boat a few times at Brest Bay Marina also. Decent facilities, price is very reasonable and as far as security, we never had a problem with theft of any type.

I like Brest Bay marina but Its going to be a long drive to Turtle Isl. in the spring. Am I reading it right? Is it cheeper to get a slip than to get a rack?

Make sure you check into the hours of rack operations. Some of them really aren't "fishing" hours, although some will launch you the night before and tie it up.

I'm another thumb's up for Brest Bay. Slipped there for 5 years.
