Just had gutters put on an addition last week and now I need to figure out the best way to drain them off. Any suggestions on methods that work well? I have heard about the tank you bury, the pop-up drains (??)-these sound intriguing, and the option of burrying the black tube-but to do that I would have to bury about 40 ft and then it would drain out the side of a hill and probably erode.
Thanks for any help.

I tiled mine out with 4" corrugated drain tile. I live on the edge of a 40' high hill steep enough that you can hardly walk down it. I have 3 tiles from a 1,500 sq. ft. ranch that dump out on the top edge of the hill and have never had any sign of erosion in the 8 years since. The hill is wooded so that may or may not help. Also, pop up drains are really just used in spots like along driveways or spots where you don't want to look at the end of a black pipe sticking out. Plus they're about $35.00 a piece wholesale.
