Just spent 8 great days on Crystal Lake in Scottville. Scottville is just east of Ludington. The campground has small but secluded sites. There is about 5 to 10 feet of trees between each site and about 20 feet of trees between roads. All sites are fully shaded. The amenities are many. From putt - putt to canoes. The fishing is just above fair for July.
Stopped and checked out the State Park in Ludington for some future salmon fishing in September. My wife, son and myself will be there the third week of September. Wanted to check out some furure hunting areas but it was just too dang hot. 95 degrees is just too warm for this old man to be too active. On the way, to Ludington my wife and I stopped and met Bob from Baldwin bait and tackle, and Chef from The Lands Inn, in Ludington. Beyond what you read and beyond popular believe both of them are good people. :D LOL.
Hope you all found time to enjoy the 4th. Sure wish I could back up and do it again.
