My dear brother went for a cruise on the lake and says it has serious potential for diver hunting.
Does anybody have any experience on the lake?

lwing- Lake St Clair is world renowned for its duck hunting. DU did a study and said 75% of the worlds Canvasback population will travel through Lake St Clair at some point in its life. I have hunted there and have literally seen THOUSANDS. Redheads, Bluebills, Bufflehead, Canvasback, and Goldeneye. That place is a layout hunters dream. Its no secret in that area, lots of guys have layout boats. Just thinking about it gets me excited.

If the weather turns fair, better be ready to hunt the other side of the pond. The heavy boat traffic pushes the birds over there! :(

Well, until the class for the Canadian permit becomes an easy process, I think I will prolly stay on this side.
It is just not convenient for me to take the class to test for the 5 year gun permit and I don't really wanna pay $50 a year.
