i live in southwestern michigan. i would like to maybe fish the inland lakes around here but i am willing to travel. my job is in indianapolis, but i am home three days a week. that gives me alot of time to fish.

You should check out Diamond Lake in Cass County if you want to catch some eyes. I also hear that Simonton Lake in Elkhart has quite a few eyes in it as well. I am not a walleye fisherman, but would love to learn to target them in this area as well. I have a lot on a private lake in White Pigeon that is supposed to have some nice eyes in it as well, but I have not been able to catch any. Magician is another good choice for someone in Southwestern MI. I have heard that it is the best lake in Cass County as far as walleye fishing goes. Hope this helps you out. I just wish I could give you some specifics, but as I stated I don't claim to be a walleye expert.

ant information is much appreciated. there is a pool of knowledge out there and if it helps me become a better fisherman than why not take advantage of it.
Don't put that boat away yet, the best is yet to come. Keep an eye on this site and you can learn a lot. There are a number of good rivers in SW mich. with a good supply of Walleye, St.Joe, K-zoo, Grand and Muskegon to name a few. These river get better as the temps drop and fish move out of Lake Mich
Welcome to the site, you will notice there a few diehard Walleye anglers here that don't put there boats away untill you can't break the ice at the ramps anymore.
