View Full Version : Beautiful day out there today

Doesn't get much better in October than it was today. I was worried about the no wind, bright sun and clear water but today was the exception. Started in Canada off the Johnson and we were catching 8's with many throwbacks. Found a good weedbed a few miles west and the fun started. Action was on and off but for the conditions, we were very happy to get our 200 fish limit. Didn't think about a pic of our catch till we were quite a few fish into cleaning so that will have to wait till the next decent catch. It didn't seem like fall fishing but it was pretty darn good. Headed back out in the morning to take advantage of the great weather!

You had a beautiful day to be out there John!! Sounds like you took good advantage of it! I'll be out after a few early morning eyes with Hotwired tomorrow!

it wasn't for duck hunters...he owes me one...:lol:

I went home "sick" at 1:30 today and headed out to my lucky dock. Even the shore fisherman ended up with enough for a meal for him and his wife. I hit one that I swore was a smallmouth when I realed it in. I gotta measure it tomorrow before I clean him. I swear it was over 10".

sure, rub it in john, i got to spend 12 hours in a hot vehicle, unbelievably high humidity, sticky weather while messing around with machine guns (ok, so not everything wasn't fun). Round 2 of the same tomorrow.

good job on the fish as always.

200, now that's perchin'! :dizzy:

Too bad I couldn't join ya. Blowing off a whole day this time of year is tough. I did however develop that eye problem around noon. :D Hit the same spot as Thursday. Got on the water by 1, fished until 3 and ended up with 30 keepers. Not bad for a 1.5 mile ride out to the fish. ;)
