Greetings,

several boat loads of IL, IN and MI anglers plan to launch from Mitchells Bay
on the 12th of Oct..

We have a small (and I do mean small) wager, more bragging rights than anything riding on the day...It's going to be on the honor system as we are only gong to CPR..

Any words of patterns, depths, baits anyone can share with an infrequent St Clair fisherman???

I can return the favor in Southern Lower and MN...And I will!!

If you want to catch BIG Smallies, use live bait Period.......We have been getting them while in Mitchells Bay and Belle River Area Perch fishing. Always at least a half dozen fishing for Perch. If live baits out of the Question, Tubes are your best bet......Please Keep your Catch, Theres way too many Smallies in the System, and they are eating all my Perch.....:lol: They are Great SMOKED..

Thanks guys,

do they sell larger minnows in Mitchells Bay? we bought perch minnows there before, but never paid attention..

maybe some 3-4 inch shiners on a slip bobber would be a good set up..

any idea on depths for Mid Oct? as warm as it's been are they still deep?

thx
