Fished from 8-12pm. Caught a lot, kept about 24 or so. Biggest was 11 3/4"
About 8 of them were real nice , the rest right about 8". Will make for a couple of good meals. Real nice out there, flat calm for the most part. Started by the 400 club then moved to straight out of Crocker. 12-12.5 ft, about 1.5-2 miles. Was pretty steady for the most part. Threw back 3 times the amt. kept.

Would have like to stay out there but had to baby sit a couple of girls for the afternoon.
Crocker launch will be full of weeds this afternoon and tomorrow. Big globs of floating weeds were just offshore (100ft) this morning.

Wasn't trying to be a smart ass...just making sure it was today because sometimes the time and date on this site is out of wack.

Had me going for a second too. Being recently retired I lose track of the days. The only day I care about now is Payday.

Wow, look at how much power a moderator has! He makes it appear as if he never made a mistake by opening a new post with the right title. And he even carried over all the comments so it looks like you guys messed up! ;)
Just kiddin' Mike. Keep up the good work at keeping this forum so positive. It's pretty rough over there in the Cold Water section.

Miike,
You were about 50 yards from us over by crocker. You had your big boat out right?

I was in a 16 foot starcraft with a 50hp 4-stroke merc.

Yup, had the big boat. Should have got on the radio and said hi. Counted 40 boats there at 11 am.

I was able to convince one of my customers to join me for an ideal October day on the Pond. We got to JBM around 1:30 and headed out to the pack just short of the Channel. Not much happening out there. Spent maybe 30 fruitless minutes with only a few smerch. Ran into the 12-14' drop and tried in there. Pretty much the same story.

I called John (Gone Fishing) to see if Mike posted on the 400. Took Mike's advice and joined that pack for a while. (By that time most of the guys were in 14') The bite must have shut down. We only picked up a couple with a few smallies in the mix. With nothing to loose I played a hunch and headed back toward the barn. Ended up quite a bit shallower, but the fish were there. Took 40 in 2 hours, mostly 9-10"s with a few 11's. All of them came on ground tackle tipped with large shiners. Slips only caught bass, slightly larger than the bait.

Might have to try it again today :evilsmile

Got out last night in front Art Vans, 15 ft. of water and caught 25 over 9", being a little more selective now I have some in the Freezer, and getting sick of cleaning Perch:yikes:. The bite was real slow, and it seemed the big boys starting biting right at Dusk into the Darkness. I was the last one to leave, and i was still catching fish. Jackie gave me a GREAT count of Minnies, its too bad the bite wasnt there. Its always the case when you have alot of minnows, the Perch dont seem to coorperate.......Heading to Canada Saturday morning with Yakshi.........

I even tried to translate it...... must be slang cause nothing came up.... I must be a bad Polish person for not knowing what it meant. I'm planning on being out there Sunday morning. With more minnows this time. I'll holler at ya Saturday with the plans. May go out Sat. afternoon too... we'll see.

Depending how we do Saturday, I think I might want to do some Jigging Sunday morning. How do you look for Riders on Sunday???? I would rather Put the Abuse on your boat, seeing that you have Warranty and I dont.......;)Let me know Matt......Yakshi, is short for "Yak-sha-Mash" It means Hello, how are you doing???? I gave the Nick name to one of my FERRIS buddies that happens to be Polish. And its the only Polish i Know.....
