Have smoke detectors in every room of my house and I have one that always "chirps" every minute or two for about 2 hours every morning. Don't have any paperwork on it, but I hold the button down to reset it, but it later continues chirping. Anyone know how to reset it or what does it mean when it does that?

Knew the detectors were wired into the house and didn't realize they had backup batteries in them.:dizzy: They've been in there for 6 years.......will change them all. Thanks.

.. that it's a VERY good idea to replace all smoke detectors (even the hard-wired ones) every 5 years. Cheap insurance on lives.
