I was to meet with a customer in Harrison Twp. yesterday, he called and said he was running late. I went down to the river mouth, could see open water for at least 2 miles in any direction except up into Anchor Bay. They were dredging in front of the Sheriff station! The water was the color of my wifes coffee. Took off down to the spillways and rigged up a new rod I picked up over the weekend (just wanted to try it out, didn't expect anything).Standing near the end of the spillways I keep seeing a flash of something along the seawall about 60' away. Repeated casts with a small Little Cleo and all of a sudden the line takes off for the channel. A 4.5# Steelie!
