the strangest morning for a start

well after sitting in the rain all day yesterday and not a single deer i went back out this morning. just as it was breaking light i hear a buck grunt off to my left. at that point i think i must be day dreaming and than he grunts again a few times. so i ready my bowand this deer steps into the bait and must weight close to 200lbs still dark enought out that i can't make out head gear but this boy looks old his face is almost all white and he is dark grey. he goes broadside i pull back the death machine and i can't see my sight threw my peep yet (darn fiber optics) so needless to say i had to let back down and he walked off into the swamp. just knew i should of grabed the other bow and the red dot this morning but forcast called for rain again and i did not want to deal with all the water spots. well still have one more day before i go back to work.

He was playing tricks on your mind brother.. You will meet him again, and good job on not flinging a arrow just to shoot a deer. I know there are guys out there that would have taken that shot and hoped for the best

yes he was i'm about to get all my stuff out and just pretend it's holloween out and play a game on him. two days of hunting and one deer seen so far very strange for me. i think the monday opener and the rain are playing havic on me i need to get a few more hunter in the wood to start pushing them back into their hiding hole. well time to get to bed going to sit on stand all day have seen some fresh tracks being made during the midday boy.
