July 13: Mid-Michigan Branch QDMA general meeting at Jays Sporting Goods in Clare, 12 noon. Ed's Wildlife Food Plots book will be available for sale along with our special Brassica seed mix ($20 to plant one acre), and our special blended deer mineral mix at $10 per 25 lb. bag. General public welcome!

What's in the mineral mix and how high is the quality of ingreadients used?

Some of the more important ingredients include calcium (16.5% min), phosphorus (8% min), selenium, mangnesium (.5% min), potasium (1.5% min). Others include vitamins a, d & e, sulfur, copper. Salt content is 30% max. I believe the quality of the ingredients is good and accurate.

I was aware of the meeting but cannot attend on the 13th. I will be travelling through the area on the 12th though. Does Jay’s have copies of Ed’s book for sale that I could pick up on Friday? Thanks.

Sounds like a good mix. Seems to have all the most important ingrediants. I can't attend, is there another way I can purchase the mineral? I would like to try it. That is a very good price for a complete mineral supplement.

Benelli: Jay's has our Food Plot book. I believe some are located in the book area and some in the biologic/seed area of the store.
DEERSLAYER: We'll have the mineral mix available at our quarterly general meetings and special events such as the upcoming Aug 10-11 Michigan Bowhunters Rendezvoux in Gladwin.

Thanks bwiltse, picked up a copy on Friday last week at Jays. Excellent source of info. I could only give it one thumbs up on the message header though. It comes highly recommended from me as the book has provided some great ideas!
