Have to give a big thanks to a good friend that knew Donalds boat was down and offered to get him out and on some Big American perch....Jerry (Gofish) put us on them right off the bat.....we were hitting them good....then they shut down on us....Managed around 40+ perch with many over the 10" mark....One was missed at the boat by Donald that had to be pushin over 14"...here are a few pictures of the day starting off with jerry, then Donald...then our catch!

Sadly enough Brent I believe when he Originally overheated the engine....it did the damage then and it slowly fell apart after that.....Damage to the lower part of the Engine.....will probably need to rebuild it!:(

Good job guys and that is pretty cool of Gofish to get Donald and you guys out for a trip. If you need a hand over the winter doing some engine work, I could lend a hand. It's been a while but I dont think I forgot everything.

We fished between the 9 mile tower and GPYC in 15 feet of water. First place we dropped anchor, was great for me. I got 30 my buddy got 3 He wopt be invited back, not enough production out of him. They were snapping well though. Minnows and the bigger the better. 7:30 am till 12 noon.

We tried one spot by the shipping channel, out from GPYC, caught 1 keeper. After 15 minutes, I couldn't resist the desire to fish in Canada. Fished east of the Belle River hump, with the pack, and a couple of other spots further east. We ended up with 41 keepers (8-10"). The highlight of the day was my 11 yr. old son caught a 4lb. smally. However, his dumbarse Dad leaves the camera at home:banghead3, the camera that was specifically bought to keep on the boat:confused:.

I told Tom to stay at that Spot at least 1/2 hr., and then all Hell breaks loose. Oh well, least ya got some for yourself, 41 keepers is just an appetizer for Tommy-Boy!!!!:lol:

1/2 hour, I never got a bite in that spot. And if the captain isn't getting any bites...........well you get the idea. Seriously, thanks for the info. My brother doesn't have a Canadian license, so I MIGHT be working the American waters a little harder this fall.

Doanalds calling his insurance Co. to see if he is covered for the damage!!:(

Engine needs to be rebuilt!! I was told Parts are hard to come by ....I believe it is the 170 4 cylinder engine. We should be able to get out some in our little 16ft. Aluminums....but will have to stick close by! His boat is probably done for the season! If Insurance doesn't pay him off....boat will be permanently done!:(

Kevin,
You got a spot in my boat anytime. I would not mind having your friends come along either. It is deer season now; however, I like hunting better in the evening and fishing in the morning. Perhaps we can put something together for this Sunday. Sucks about the boat,
