Anyone fishing the river ?
Can you give me an update?
I have a buddy who lives in St. Clair, he tells me people are catching a mixed bag of fish at the powerplant warm water discharge using everything from minnows to Little Cleos and Rapalas. I plan on going there this weekend and hopefully will have a more specific (and successful) report!
Trout,
I an sorry I didn't get back to you sooner but I was out of town. This working for a living is cramping my style. All the ramps I'm aware of are frozen in now,and there are large ice flows coming down the open part of the river. There is no shore fishing within a reasonable distance of the warm water discharge. The ramp at Marine City is usually the first one to clear. If you send me your number again I will call you when the river is safe. In early spring I find that stretch of river hard to beat, with everything from walleyes to kings competing for your lures!

The St. Clair is reallly dirty but the ice is sparce. No ice in the lower Lake right now. Should be good when it clears up.
