Am I the only one that apon full draw I let go of my grip on my release and hold all the weight of the bow with just the strap?

no i do it to!!! it help's with trigger pull and twist your wrist when you shoot!!! make's you more accurate!!!

I have tried it the other way and i have tried the hand held thumb releases and I just cant do it

Same here! Just seems much more comfortable and allows you to relax more at full draw.

me too....I just let everything relax and concentrate on squeezing..Most the time the release will just fall freely from my hand

I don't grip the riser at all.
I shoot with an open palm. Fingers extended straight out.
The strap and the bows balance is the only thing necessary.

Nope I do that too. Let go of the release with my finger hooked over the trigger and then relax my hand/arm while at the same time trying to pull my hand through the strap. Make for a nice back tension type suprise release.
