Bend Spring Pins down?

I saw this posted a few times in my best trap size thread. What are you guys talking about?

On coilspring traps the pin that goes through the levers should be bent down. Coyotes can grab the spring pin with their teeth and pull it loose.

ok. Bent down so it would be poking into the ground when the trap is bedded?

Erik, you don't have to bend them down all the way just a slight bend down will work to stop them from getting pulled all the way through.
