I'm starting to get a little twitchy for my first bow season. Sure beats waiting until november. Next Monday's (mid)michigan forecast - 68 and mostly sunny. Take it for what its worth i guess.

Im kinda ready. Last night I was shooting great out to 40 yards with my broadheads. I decided to get the range finder out and make sure it worked ok. Well I figured out my 30 yard pin is at 37 yards and my 40 yard pin is at 49 yards!!! DOh! So I have been shooting good out to 50 yards. I was going by memory as to where the differnt yardgaes were. I must be getting old ;)

I need to do some testing to see how different it is at 30 and 40 for those pins. I only have 3 pins so I may have to resight in. I dont want to have to figure out based on me remebering what its set at now in the moment of truth.

But other than that clothes are all washed and put into containers full of leaves and pine. I have located 4 different mature bucks to hunt. Id say Im ready. I just worry about maskitos.

I ws up at the cabin Saturday and Sunday for the first time this year.
Did a lot of work, set up my tree stands, cleaned the cabin, cut grass, and moved dead trees off the drive way.
Yeah, I am ready!

I will be wishing you all the best of luck and a safe hunting season. 1st time since 86, I will miss the opener and I have smoked alot of deer in the first couple days of season. Will be home Oct 30 through Nov 23 on leave and it will be game on for that whole time. House to myself no dogs or wife to fret with, straight up deer hunting and beer drinking.

I think I am ready. Still want to shoot the broad-heads some more. Seems my 20 pin is a little off. I am more accurate and smaller groups at 30 for some reason at the moment. Now I just have to find someone to watch the kids for a while so I can get out. I will find a way!!!
