Well finally had a day off of work to try for the eyes. Took the ole lady and the youngens along for day. Worked the area in front of ginos and metro early am trolling tots and rapalas and went 0/1 on the eyes. Everyone that I talked to stated that it had been slow for the eyes. Went down towards 400 club and picked up about 20 perch 9-12" in 9 FOW. They were real scattered and we worked pretty hard for them, but they were really tasty! Serena had about a 40" ski grab ahold of a perch right at boatside. Man was that a sight! I am glad she didn't let go of the pole this time! We seen 3 other muskys follow big rapalas but no takers. Also seen a big gator that had choked to death trying to eat about a 4# smallie. Finished the morning off by going down to 12 mile area and picked up 9 smallies ( OK they caught all of the bass, I was looking for skis) Nothing big, all about 1# to 2# on tubes and jigs tipped with crawlers. Lots of fishfly casings laying on the water and lots of flys when the wind lays down. Got to be downright ugly a couple of times early in the day, but as they say, beats working!!!

gator = just another slang for Muskie ;) They kind of look a little like a gator without feet.
