I've read a TON about these Rage expandable broadheads, but I can't find them in my area.

Does anyone know of a good place to pick some up?

Greater Lansing area FYI.

I dont know of any place in Lansing that carries them, but there not worth all the hype.

I used the Tekan blades last year, sames as the rage. Shot a deer and one of the blades busted off and the other didnt exspand. The exit wound looked like I was using field points. They do get alot of play on TV but IMO there really not worth it.
After using the Tekan blades I switched back to good ole muzzy's, and I think I will stick with them:D

Arrowhead Archery.... im not sure if they still have them though... they said they sell out pretty fast and i went in there on monday and its now sat and he only had 2 packs left on monday soooooo its possible he is sold out but i can check for you if you want i might be going there tonight or in the am.... ill send you a pm with conctact info and stuff...

but i have also heard mixed results with the rage head..... ever try a spitfire? they are amazing... wont use anything different unless i had a bad experience with them.... and if it aint broke dont fix it... and the only thing i have been breakin with them is hearts and lungs :)

They are a very popular head and this time of the year I think you are going to be hard pressed finding them. Maybe try rocky mountain snypers, they are essentially the same as rage's other than they have a trocar tip vs a cut on contact for the rage and the snypers need a rubber band to hold the blade closed in flight and rage's do not. Same rear blade deployment and general appearance to each.

Hubbhunter, are u talking about the G5 Tekan's as being the same as Rage's?? Other than they are both expandable broadheads with rear deploying blades, thats about the only similarity that I can see between the two heads, but maybe it is me.

Here are some links to Snypers. Buddy of mine shot a nice 8pt in Ohio last year with the three blade and it fell in sight of his stand.

No experience with the Tekans, but added to show the difference.

I don't know the name of the place but my brother picked some 2 blades up for me yesterday. It is on Forest Hill Road off of Price Road, he said it was a mile down but I don't remember if it was north or south...sorry.

I know Schupauch's had the 3 blade as of 3:00pm Friday.

Talk to me, please.

Why is this broadhead --the Rage -- the flavor-of-the-month?

It seems to have come out of nowhere and all of a sudden retailers can't keep 'em in stock. What happened to get its' acceptance to the tipping point?

Are they a line extension of an existing broadhead manufacturer or are they a new entry by a new maker?

Lastly, what features do they have that is getting so many folks buzzed-up?

they were out last year, some people caught on to em and some places were selling out of them, after that they started gettting more and more popular. not so much the 3 blades, but the 2 blades.

they have 2 inch cutting diameter (the 2 blades) and if you have seen pictures of deer or anything people have taken with them, the entry and exit holes are huge!! unlike any head i have seen. I'd post some pics i have seen on other sites but not sure if it would upset the owner of the pics.

try dicks sports in the meridian mall. i know they have some. if i remember right though, they only got the 2 blade heads.

gander mountain on saginaw highway has them too, or at least they had a few friday night when i was there. if you dont see them on the floor, make sure you ask the guys at the counter. they usually have some stashed back there.

Its called Country Woods Archery, and it is a 1.25 miles south of Price Road on Forest Hill Road, it between Jason and Pratt Road.

I know Gander Mountain in West Lansing carries both the 2 and 3 blade, but not sure if they have any more in stock!?!
