Monday Lake Erie Report
Fish in front of fermi and up to 2 miles north in 19-20.5 feet of water. Caught 22 walleyes between 2 guys-culled to keep 18-21 inchers for our limit. Hot lures were chrome and black and chrome and green hot n tots. Ran off big boards 75-90 feet back. only about 10 sheepheads and 3 or 4 silver bass. Nice days on the water. had limit by 9:30

No didn't get out had to do that 4 letter word today WORK, I'm going to try and get out tomorrow after work should be on the water by 3pm if it's not to hot. If it's real hot like today I might wait until about 5 and fish till dusk.

do you put in at bolles?

is there a closer launch to fermi?
maybe north of it?

just a long run 12-14 mile from bolles and thoguht something may be easier

Lake Erie Metro Park is north of fermi, it is kind of shallow but is marked, it is about 3/4 to the lake from the launch, parking for about 150 cars and trailers and with sterling closed might have to get there early on weekends but shouldn't be bad during the week. I have private ramp use at the south end of Grosse Ile and it's about a 10-12 mile run from there to the spot I've been fishing, and the metro park is south west of that, should be a little shorter of a run. I seen you other thread and I'm trying to think of the best way to get there. I think the exit is Huron River Dr. and then go east to jefferson turn left. Bottomline bait and tackle is on the left and the park entrance in on the right.
I'll check on the directions for you.

thanks for looking

it just seems with fish so far north, why travel the extra 20 miles in my car both ways(since i live north of detroit). and if the launch is closewr to fermi-thats where the fish a now anyways

He is right on with his directions to the park. Fished there Saturday and ran over to Fermi, real easy short ride. The boys there do a great job running the ramp if it is busy. The water is shallow, but if you stay in the buoys you should be ok.We showed up at 10:00 on Saturday and had no problem finding a parking spot.
