Ok, been shooting the bow, and been shooting pretty well.
That is........until now!!!
First of all, I'd upload some pics, but I haven't enough "memory space" to do more pics on the site, unless somebody could help me figure some stuff out.
I was shooting two nights ago, and I am completely guilty of not inspecting my arrows. I pulled back my Trykon, let my release go on what was expected to be a good solid shot in the kill zone....and WHAM there was this exquisite pain in my bow hand's forearm as I watched my arrow flop 15 yards in front of me.
That is until I noticed that there was a piece of my arrow laying at my feet. And then I noticed my string is totally *********. It's jammed in one of the cams, looks to have damage, what else I'm not sure if there is damage to the limbs or rest, couldn't find any, but dang, that's a bad deal.
Anyways, the arrow sheared in two, the nock end was what hit my forearm leaving some pretty good welts.
Now I need hopefully a new string and that is all and maybe some tuning.
Anybody got any recommendations on after market strings and silencers to change out on my Trykon? I don't think that the Trykon had the best thing going there, so might as well look to make a change now...............
Incidentally, I was shooting Easton Full Metal Jackets. I don't understand in looking at them what happened. I have only target practiced with these, they were bought new this summer. The construction, to me, is superior than other arrows being both carbon interior with aluminum exterior.
I will be emailing them some pictures today though, that's for sure........
