Two rookies hit Muskegon today. After the "Why is there water in the boat?" "I asked you if you put the plug in." "I thought you did". Fire drill. (Captians job in my opinion). Then there was the boat coming to a dead stop on a sand bar along the dunes jump in the water and push the boat off drill.
Went two for three in the am. One in the big lake. One in the channel as the GVSU research vessel went through. Wonderbread was the ticket and the red head took the knockoff skipper. Caught a drum also (seems to be a lot in the channel).
Guys were really pounding the pier heads.
Ran 20-25 foot down in 28-40 foot of water all day.

I saw you guys at the dock in Snug Harbor....saw all that water
coming out of the back of your boat and was wondering whaaasupp.

All in all you did pretty good considering. We went 1 for 2 and landed
a small COHO. I'm betting your next trip will be perfect!

FishBones says so...

Good name for a boat and nice boat to.
Last trip was a skunk and then we lucked into a couple.
I think it may be time to find some walleyes as the salmon seem to be slowing down a bit.

Had a hooky day Friday, Hit the water about 3:30 am for Walleye, nada.
Switched to Salmon went it got light & did nothing except a giant Sheepshead. By the way, if I pull the drain plug on my boat I stand there & hold it until the water drains then put it back in.
