I don't know if there is a bow of this name but my internet less brother says there is. What are the pros and cons of this bow? He was told that they are very expensive to get em tuned. Me, I have no idea on these bows.

Yeah they do exsist, I just dont have any experience with them, or Matthews for that matter. But I've only good from other hunters who use Matthews, also very, very exspensive. Better take a 2nd mortgage on the house if your going that route:lol:

I have had my for 2 years never had a problem.. I love it..its a great bow in my eyes.. But if your going to drop the money you should get the Drenaline its the newest mathews bow. I've shot it and loved it too.. hope this helps.

Very nice bow, and they are no more expensive to tune than any other.

I have shot both and I own a switchback xt, don't waste your money on a drenaline, it is not worth the money and I after shooting it....still believe the switchback xt is the better bow. Less handshock and no jumping.

Thanks everyone. I was inquiring about this bow for my brother. He has a bud who wants to sell this bow and everything with it to my bro. for 500. I think it is only a year or two old. Is it worth it ?

Probably so! Even with lesser expensive rests, sights, quiver, etc it is still a reasonable deal.

Huh???
They can be tuned to an E flat or a B minor for the same price as any other bow. :D

I have had mine 2 years and LOVE it. I have not had to have anything done to it since it was set up the first time.
I've owned two Mathews bows. The MQ1 and now the SwitchbackXT.Both great bows, but the XT is much smoother/faster.Neither were any more expensive than any top of the line bow,nor any more to maintain. The price doesn't sound unrealistic, but even better if it's the SwitchbackXT,but only if it fits him correctly.

I've shot most of the newer bows from the top manufacturers. In my hands, the Switchback is the Cadillac of bows. Very smooth draw cycle, fast, and unbelievable string release characteristics.
I love the solocam bows period. But you and/or your brother should shoot multiple bows to compare for yourselves.
If budget is an issue, Mathews Switchback is not your bow. They aren't cheap, but there are no weaknesses in the bow what so ever as far as I can tell. They are an absolute pleasure to shoot.

I bouht my Mathew's MQ32 used last year. It's my first hardcore hunting bow and so far so good. I think it's smooth and accurate, even thought I'm not always that accurate. I bought mine for $225 and haven't been disapointed. Keep in mind is around 5 or 6 years old and new they are pricey, well IMO.

I just bought a Switchback XT and it was $699. The Drenalin was $40 more and was not as comfortable to shoot IMO. The XT is very smooth...

If you can get a SB for $500, you better jump all over that. Even the new Drenaline cant compare to the original Switchback.
