I just took my arrows into Beckers Archery in Fowler to get my arrows reflechted. I asked the tech whether or not blazers made any difference. He told me that not unless I am using a whisker biquit. Since I am using a rip cord drop away he said I didnt need them.
Anyone have any comments on this subject? Anyone have any personal experience with using blazer viens with a drop away rest and had better results than with traditional viens?

I would use blazers because they are far tougher than any others. They just last longer and shoot good. They may not shoot any better as far as accuracy goes. I do know some guys that have clearance problems using blazers and the rip cord on fast bows, not sure if they are set up correctly though. I use them and like them!!!

When I called the archery shop to see about changing from traditional to blazer viens he said if I wanted he could do it, but not until monday. The refletching is already done and I want to get back to shooting so it looks like I will stick with the traditional viens this year. First thing next summer though I will have to try out the blazers.:D

:yeahthat: I agree with everything buckwiz said. Not sure if they are more accurate but they definitely aren't less accurate. And they are more durable, IMO. I'm glad I switched.

I'm using 4" feathers , and getting better broadhead flight than I did with Blazers . I can put a greater degree of helical on the feathers than I could with the Blazers .
You can also buy 4" vanes from Bohning that have the same durabilty as the blazers do .

Your Pro-Shop dude gave you a simplified answer.
Blazer's are good for some set-up's, not so good for others.
Many many other factors come into play besides "are you using a Whisker Biscuit?".......

I agree with KD, so many factors come into play. I have had great luck with blazers, and I shoot a W.B. but as far as helical and off sets, my bow was clocked at 282, 280, 282 fps. I think a Stright fletch arrow will and does hit the spot for me, with blazers. I feel I am more of a factor when shooting; more than my fletching..

....until you put a broadhead on the end of the arrow .

This is my first year shooting them and I really like them, I am holding tighter groups, very durable, broadhead flight is good.

This is my first year shooting blazer veins on my gold/tip 5575 arrows. I bought a new blk ice 70# and the guy I had set up my bow/arrows put these veins on. So far they I think they are ok,but I'm not totaly sold on them. My last bow I was shooting Easton xx-75 2213 w/ 4" veins that would shoot great with no problems.

No I am using a rip cord fall away.
I just had the four arrows refletched and bought 2 new arrows, all are gold tip 5575. After only shooting approx 30 times, both new arrows and one of the refletched arrows have the fletching coming off again. This time I dont think its the rest hitting my fletching. I think it is just bad glue, due to the fact that the fletching is coming off the shaft from the back of the fletching. I also cant see, nor can hear and effects of my fletching hitting the rest. I think I am going to get those three arrows redone with blazers to test them out. If nothing else hopefully they will be more durable and last longer.
Anyone have any opinions on getting them wrapped? Will this help the durability?

I am using the quick spins on my gold tip 5575's and also using the rip cord and I am very happy with my set up. Quick spins are holding up great and shoot my broadheads excellent. I am using 100 grain shuttle t-lock broadheads and holding a super tight pattern with great arrow flight. Hope this helps anyone...

Are you using the 2" or 4" quick spin? Are they wrapped?

In your experience has wrapping your arrows helped with exstending the life of your quick spins?

Ok, these blazers...why were they thought of. Are they designed for faster bows? I shoot an older Golden Eagle and 4" are failsafe for me. Why would I want to change?...I'm a "If it's working don't fix it" guy. I shoot Muzzys 3 bladers.
