View Full Version : Wanted: Walleye partner with boat for fall/winter

As many already know I sold my boat last year so I am putting this out there. Many have offered rides already, please feel free to respond to this add as well.;)
Wanted:
A psychotic partner to take me walleye fishing at any and all hours of the night until ice up. This individual needs to be dependable and have a truck and boat that will get us in and out of the water safely. Lights, equipment, and personal safety must be maintained at all times. In addition the only real boat requirements are a bow mounted trolling motor with good batteries, fish finder up front, and the ability to remain above the water until we decide to leave.
I can provide a dependable, respectful partner. I can help with both truck and boat gas and launch fees for our trips. I can help locate fish, and can operate the boat along the structure and break lines if needed. I can catch and net fish, give advice on when, where, what, and how to get them, and have all of the lures we need. I will even bring my camera and be the photographer if the opportunity arises. We may not always catch fish, but we'll have fun trying, I can guarantee that.
Please send pictures of boat, graphs, and motors to lmao@pleasetakemefishing.now :)

I am always good for a few trips during the week. I usually get 2-3 nights off during the week and seeing how I work 3rd shift the night bite is usally the best for me.
I believe you know the boat. Still have the lund 1890 tiller model.
Know the fish just have to show up.

I had to pull some "smilies" 'cuz the forum software only allows 11 images per post and I wasn't taking Ken's fish out - NO WAY!
(please refer to previous posts for appropriate smilies!)

Stein is a fEEsH wH0rE eXtraodinairE , Scotty and the man is DEAD serious about whackin' th' big girls , when darkness falls ; about all you here from him is : "Fish" , "Net" , "Beer" , "Reel up , we're moving" , "I'm changing baits" - Scotty- get over here with Bob & let Tim run the TM , I am positive you'll be impressed.
He has the same intensity in his eyes as Clay Millican (My Wife's & I's friend) NHRA Top Fuel Driver..... the switch is set to KILL.
I pity the fish that even sniffs his bait!
He treats every big fish like a hunter that stalks a 26 point buck.
Lol, I think I'll pass on that one.

Excellent! I can go almost any night if we launch late enough, and I hope I can fish with all of you this year. I always learn something, every time out. If lake MI calms down a bit I would like to try around the piers soon. Around the gun opener and Thanksgiving things pick up considerably until ice up which came in Feb last couple years. Ever since I quit deer hunting I have all kinds of time for fishing. After the kids are in bed I can go most any time.
Lakes I would like to try this fall include Muskegon, White, Manistee, and Portage. Maybe even do an outing since we all will be out there fishing anyway. Bear Lake Inn Tavern on Muskegon Lake is a great stop and big enough to accommodate us and has dockside parking for your boats.
Mike, that sounds about right. I was kind of playing on that add as an angle. I do prefer to list the add here because I have already met many fine folks here, many who have become lifelong friends.
Dan, bring Robert and your boat over one night and we'll keep you up past 10:30. We'll make sure not to feed you after midnight and I'm sure it will work out ok.;) Or I can travel too. I was just kidding about the boat pictures. I know most guys are quite fond of their boats and like to show them off.
Robert, Scotty, Ken, and Tim just say when and where.
Steve, I live right by the Grand if you ever are looking for anyone there too.
Milt, let's ply some waters up your way this fall too. I'd love to fish with yourself and George again this year.
Fishfoote check your pm's

I chase big cats about every night till they disappear when water dips below 50F in mid Oct. Then I need a new nightfishing gig, because I'm completely, pathologically addicted to fishing at night for big un's. I'm a stay at home dad, so nightfishing works out good - cause I can go every friggin' night:lol:.

I don't eat bass either, but I still catch a lot of 'em!;)
Actually, I do harvest and partake of a few nice eYez each year, as the wife, kids and fam love it. That's not to say it ain't good, just not as good as trout or catfish:hide:.
I'm in it to catch big fish (as I don't discriminate-if they're BIG). Sure I want an eater or two, and a M.A. wall hanger, but the rest I catch can swim another day, or go in my partners freezer.
I'll tell you what, I still have one nice walleye in the freezer from canada this spring, I'll cook it up soon, and post a recipe w/ pics. Then you 'walleye guys':hide: will see that I might be "worthy" :chillin: :help: :xzicon_sm

:yeahthat: , minus the locating fish part, give advice part, having all the lures we need part, i don't have a camera either (at least one i can be trusted with in a boat  ), and if we don't catch any fish we won't have fun.:lol: btw, did i mention minus the gas, boat launching fees part too?
oh yeah and the maintaining safety at all times etc, you can change the must to a may.
