I basically grew up on Saginaw bay and have taken plenty of fish out of there. I have been in Detroit now for 5 years and with the wife and new kids have not really had time to fish any more like I used to. Saturday I was lucky enough to get out on lake Erie for the first time with a buddy of mine, and boy did it bring back some memories.
We only boated 4 eye's but we had a blast. Probably would have done better if we would have had the proper equipment, but all of that is with my dad up on the bay. We were drifting/trolling crawlers while everyone else was running boards. If yesterday was any indication of what Erie is like my wife is in trouble. It is going to cost a little to get set up right so I can do some real damage..planner boards, 500 assorted color and size hot-n-tots, some spinners and harnesses, 4-6 new poles with line counter reels, electronics, radio, etc, etc etc,. Anyone now of a place where my wife can get a 2nd job to support my habbit.
My boat should be back next week, I'll be watching for a fishing report. Can't wait to hit bass pro shops this week.

I have been very fortunate. My wife has barely let out a whimper since I decided I had to re-rig the boat for trolling because some physical limitations have somewhat curtailed my tossing Musky baits all day. She did put her foot down when I kept asking if the Federal refund was back yet...........:eek:

My wife took a part time job thisyear selling garden flags for a company called JS Homestyle. She has 4 parties at our home per month, and sponsors other women to sell the stuff. Along with 25% profit on her sales she now recieves a $500.00 bonus check per month, and 7% profit based on what her sponsored women sell. She also earned an all inclusive trip to Cancun this year alone for having top sales. With the extra income she bought me a boat and took me along to Cancun with her.:D
